With the impending new Pharmacy Contract, and exciting developments such as Supplementary Prescribing, Astra Zeneca believe that Community Pharmacy is in an enviable position to consolidate its place within the Primary Healthcare team. The New Pharmacy Contract will undoubtedly unearth opportunities for Community Pharmacy to play an even more important role in the healthcare of the nation. With a portfolio of products spanning key therapy areas such as asthma, coronary heart disease, mental health and cancer, AstraZeneca is a key player in the UK healthcare market. Working with the NPA, we will actively consider ways that we can work with Community Pharmacy in these and other therapy areas to deliver healthcare improvements.
