Sukhjit has worked at the NPA for 10 years and assumed his most recent post in April 2008. His responsibilities include leading NPA Education & Training in the delivery of services to NPA members and other customers, driving growth, improving services and identifying new opportunities, providing expert advice internally and representing the interests of members in relevant forums.

Sabina Khanom
Assistant Head of Education & Training
Sabina joined the NPA in September 2007, with her previous experience including community pharmacy and PCT work. Her role is to support the Head of Department in the leadership and management of the department. Sabina has developed particular expertise in the first year of the NVQ course provided by the NPA and is the coordinator of our expanding Residential Pre-registration Trainee Training Programme.

Alan Hunt
NVQ Centre Coordinator
Alan has worked at the NPA since January 2008 as a Technician Training Officer and has recently been promoted to his new role as NVQ centre coordinator. His long history in pharmacy training and education gives him the experience and knowledge required to manage the delivery of NVQ courses run by the NPA, ensuring quality assurance processes are in place. Alan is a qualified NVQ Assessor, who also provides telephone support to all students on the NPA NVQ courses.

Prima Deb
Pharmacist Training Officer
Prima joined the NPA in March 2008, coming from a community pharmacy background. Her responsibilities include managing the production, development and maintenance of a range of NPA Training course material, including the NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services. Prima has completed a Clinical Diploma in Community Pharmacy.

Sonal Patel
Pharmacist Training Officer
Sonal has worked at the NPA since June 2007, first as an Information Pharmacist in the Information department and more recently in NPA Education and Training. Her previous experience includes working in retail community pharmacy. Sonal is involved in managing the production, development and maintenance of NPA Training course materials, including Interact and the Accuracy in Dispensing course.

Selma Ali
Pharmacist Training Officer
Selma is the newest member of NPA Education and Training, having started in May 2009. She has worked in the community pharmacy sector and as an NVQ tutor, teaching NVQ Level 2 and NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services. She is involved in managing the production, development and maintenance of NPA Training course material, including ADAC.

The Pharmacist Training Officers are qualified NVQ Assessors, who provide telephone support to all students on the NPA NVQ courses. They are also involved in providing face-to-face training sessions around the country for pre-registration students and other student groups on topics such as the Drug Tariff and Law & Ethics.

Maria has been at the NPA since August 2008. She has a CLANSA teaching assistant qualification in special educational needs and vast experience from various other managerial roles. Her role at the NPA is to manage the Administration Team and co-ordinate all aspects of course delivery to members.
