Mike graduated from the University of Bath in 2002, and proceeded to pre-registration training in Secondary Care, joining the Register in 2003. As pharmacy manager for an independent multiple at a health centre pharmacy in Gloucester, he was able to grow the business substantially, and also gained experience managing the GP prescribing budget and medicines management related QoF points. He purchased his own business in West Dorset in October 2008 and has worked hard to forge good relationships with local GPs. Shortly afterwards, he joined Dorset LPC and has recently been re-elected. Mike also writes for C+D magazine as a regular columnist and edits the local LPC newsletter. To boost local engagement, Mike has also tried to encourage closer working relationships with other independents by holding meetings to network and share ideas. He is married with a one year old daughter.
